I know this site is pretty damn bare at the moment. Well - it's new....just give me a little while to get the interesting bits running well. I am scouring the other news sites for crazy mad stuff that no-one would thought possible years ago but now just seems to be run of the mill at our airports - but regardless of this please say something about the site in the anon comment box on the left... If only to say "your site rules" or " this site is rubbish (or should that be trash)".. or better even.. an experience you've had that you want others to know about..
It'd be best if you registered and then put more details about it on the submit story page.. but I know we're all busy people. I appreciate you dropping by anyway and I hope that over the course of the next few weeks we get some interesting stuff here.

Layout, man. layout.
Try to put a bit of space (padding-left: 5px; or margin: 5px;) between the left hand side and the text.
Use a header graphic, but don't make it too large (< 80px high).
Check into branding your site using various colors, but make sure they're not harsh on the eyes.
This site could really rock if you get it going right. Check out some other sites that have the same, "post it here" type theme.
Also, if possible, remove the Google Ads from the top, put them at the bottom.
That's my constructive criticism, for what it's worth. I love your idea, though... and have to admit, I'm a little jealous I didn't think of "scareports.com" before! =)

Well if you hadn't noticed it.. I've tried to make the css a lot more human friendly. I was working far too much on function over form but I guess it's got to look ok... Oh and I've also scrubbed the banner ad at the top... Now there's only one to the right and the search box. So far... almost 0.70 dollars raised.....
